Here is a list of virtual disk images available for VirtualBox: Windows 95 ('C' version) Notes: If you get a protection error, make sure your RAM is set between 100-200 MB, and then reset the virtual machine by going to Machine Reset.
I just happen to have an archive file that has the individual floppy disks for windows 95 on it
Now I formated 13 floppies to 1.72 mb (all except the install disk which has to be 1.44). The problem is when I use Win Image to make the disks, the install runs, asks me for the second disk, loads up until the screen where it asks me what kind of install to perform. Regardless of what I asnwer, I always get the error 'cannot read windows 95 setup disk'. I also tried the simple drag/drop of the files of the second disk, but no avail. How can I make these floppies work? Thanks in advance
This is my first time working with Virtual Box. I am trying to set up a Windows 95 virtual system. I have a motherboard with SATA connections and one 40 pin IDE being used for the CD RW and the DVD ROM. There is no 34 pin IDE available for a floopy drive. I created a Windows 95 boot disk .iso and burned it to a CD. I can boot to the CD within VirtualBox. Normally the next step would be to insert the Windows 95 CD and in the DOS window type the drive letter of the CD followed by win95setup. I cannot figure out how to get VirtualBox to recognize the Windows 95 CD. Curiously, it is assigning A: to the boot CD I created. I have checked to be sure that the CD is mounted and it is using the correct drive letter in the details of the guest machine. I'm not sure though about the Hard Disk settings since I do not have an IDE hard drive, but a SATA hard drive. How shall I proceed? Now I formated 13 floppies to 1.72 mb (all except the install disk which has to be 1.44).
